What metal should I choose for my Pet Tag?
This is mostly personal preference! Both brass and aluminum are great options. Here are the main notes about each one:
Brass: Brass is our favorite option. It will still tarnish, however it is a little slower than copper. You can clean brass the same way you can clean copper. Brass is also durable and the stamps show up nicely.
Aluminum: Aluminum are the softest of the metal options. That means that this one is the easiest to bend. If your dog is rough on tags, we do not recommend this option. Because of the softness of this metal, the stmaps show up wonderful and are very deep in the metal. Aluminum won't tarnish like brass, but it still gets dirty. Cleaning is a little bit easier for this metal.
Can I have a phone number on the Pet Tag?
Yes you can, there is room for two phone numbers on the back side of most of our Pet Tags. Enter the phone number you want to add to the field "Is there anything you want to add?" at checkout.
How do I care for my Pet tag?
All metals will tarnish over time, it is inevitable. This process will occur faster when exposed to rough elements such as rain and dirt. To clean up a tag, you may use a general polishing solution. Another method to keep your tag looking new is to use extra fine steel wool and gently brush it over your tag. This will help to hide any scratches.
When you order a tag it comes with a black enamel to fill in the lettering and numbering. If your dog loves a good adventure, that enamel may wear away over time. No worries! You can take a fine tipped Sharpie and color in the lettering again.
When can I expect to get the products I have ordered?
All of the products you can buy from us are handmade to order. Therefore, there will always be some delivery time, but we do everything we can to ensure that the delivery time is as short as possible. There will be some periods with longer delivery time than others since some periods are more hectic. On domestic orders the shippingtime is about 1-3 days during transport before the item is at your place.
Help! I think my package might be lost.
Unfortunately sometimes packages do get lost, that is out of our control. Please check your address on your order. If you choose "letterpost without tracking" we are not responsible if the package get lost.
What if I made an error during the order process?
If you entered incorrect information at the time of placing your order, send us an e-mail as soon as possible. Be sure to include your order number so we can make the necessary changes.
If you recieve your order and realize there is something wrong, send us an e-mail within one week of receiving the package. We will check to see if the mistake was on your end or our end. If the mistake was made from your end at the time of the order, you will need to pay for the new items.
If you entered an incorrect shipping address at checkout and your package gets returned to us, you will need to pay the necessary shipping costs for us to resend the package to your correct address.
